There is an Urgent Need for New Treatments for Veterans with PTSD
PTSD is a leading contributor to our nation’s veteran suicide epidemic, claiming over 130,000 veteran lives since 9/11 –– that’s 18 times the number of U.S. service members who’ve died in post-9/11 war zones. Existing PTSD treatments are ineffective for 40-60% of patients, and there have been no innovations in PTSD treatment for nearly 25 years.
MDMA-assisted therapy is a Promising New Treatment for PTSD
87%
87% of those who received MDMA-assisted therapy experienced a clinically significant reduction in PTSD diagnostic scores two months after MDMA-assisted therapy.*
71%
71% of participants in the MDMA-assisted therapy group no longer met the diagnostic criteria for PTSD two months after their treatment ended.*
